About me
I have loved animals since I was little and I rescue everything that moves, crawls or slithers. I have been rescuing birds since childhood, and my balcony was always full of injured pigeons.
For years I have volunteered with the AWAP association from Zaprešić. Sadly, from Istria all the way through Dalmatia, I am the only one rescuing wild animals and birds.
There are a few other associations that deal exclusively with protected birds and birds of prey; Zagreb has two, while Dalmatia has none at all.
Although I have many years of experience caring for birds, wild animals and parrots, I can no longer cover the whole of Dalmatia. Caring for animals takes a great deal of time and energy, and because of the huge number of messages I receive every day, I simply cannot reply to everyone.
All this stress and commitment has also taken a toll on my health. That is why we decided to launch this website: to offer advice and information, to enable you to help animals yourself, and to help raise awareness that birds and other wild animals are nothing to be afraid of.
